Welcome

Hello, and thank you for finding your way here.

I'm Ashritta Saran — this is where Parallel Heartbeats, my debut novel, will make its way into the world. It's a story I've carried for a long time, and I'm just as nervous and excited as you'd expect a first-time author to be.

Please look around. If you'd like to be there on release day, subscribe below — I'll only write when there's something worth sharing.

More news is coming soon. Thank you for being here early.

Book cover featuring the title "A's" by Ashritta Saran with a subtitle "Stories that stay long after the last page." The background shows a cozy setting with a white mug with a heart, a stack of three books labeled "Love," "Choices," and "Consequences," a vase with dried flowers, an open journal, and a pen.
A woman with long dark hair, sitting at a table in a restaurant, smiling with her hand near her face, wearing a sleeveless maroon dress and jewelry. The table has a bouquet of white flowers, a glass of water, a napkin, and cutlery. The background shows a window with trees outside and modern building architecture.

About Me

TI was trained originally as a dentist and later as a public health researcher, spending over a decade working across countries, institutions, and cultures — a professional life defined by evidence, data, and rigour.

My fiction comes from somewhere else entirely: the quieter spaces that data can't reach, where restraint becomes devotion and silence becomes its own language.

Parallel Heartbeats is my debut novel — the story of Ash and Aaryan, two people who meet as teenagers in Lucknow and are shaped permanently by a love that doesn't follow the usual rules of romance. Drawn from a real relationship in my own life, the book is less an act of invention than one of preservation — an attempt to honour a love that shaped both the person and the professional I became.

This is my first novel, written in the space between a career built on evidence and a story that could only be told in fiction. Coming soon.
